On the topic of how insubstantial beauty is, let me provide exhibit A, below. Just because Pamela Anderson is attractive, does not mean she demands that her mate, the alluringly-named "Kid Rock" be equally attractive, nor even remotely attractive for that matter:

To me, Pamela Anderson is actually just as unattractive as Kid Rock. Two peas in a pod. Not a very nice thing to say, but I find them both caricatures of the grotesque.
I actually agree with you; but culturally, Pam Anderson is accepted as "beautiful" and the point I didn't really make was that the outside "shell" of her "beauty" doesn't mean that she is thusly drawn to beauty.
