Oh Coffee, you beautiful, beautiful stimulant.

I felt low and with a few puffs of steam you brought me back to life. You raised me up.

Oh coffee, thank you for your power of rejuvenation, your mojo-magnifier.

(and thanks to E., my beloved, for the awesome espresso maker!)

I only learned the magic of coffee about 2 years ago. Up until then, I just never drank the stuff. I still only drink "candy" coffee (basically skim milk lattes with sugar-free flavoring). My epiphany came when I heard that a medical study found that coffee had more antioxidants than almost anything one can consume (of course, in time, someone will publish a study that coffee is very bad, that ingesting antioxidants is a waste of time, and that there is no tooth fairy).
Do you really look like that before coffee?

Yup, I hear you. I started drinking the hard stuff myself about 10 years ago only. And sure, it's bad for you too--leaches calcium from your bones, plays with hormones (male and female) and lowers your pain tolerance, but who cares!

And no, Gerry, I don't look like that before coffee...I look worse.

Coffee is my reason for living.

Well, not really -- that'd be my kids, actually.

But coffee sure does make life much more pleasant. I drink about six cups a day, but never after 1 p.m.
